I can put an Amazon S3 volume or an FTP server share on my desktop, and all the file interaction happens seamlessly with whatever broadband lag slowing it down between Transmit and the remote server. It lets you stream or download iTunes Match songs as you wish, reducing the storage requirements on any given Mac. And you can even delete all your matched music from iTunes and it still shows as available with an iCloud icon next to the track!
This is how you can drop tracks you ripped from CDs you own and replace them with high-quality iTunes versions , too. For one thing, publicly available bandwidth has improved substantially in the last two years.

Somehow I doubt Apple is looking to support that functionality. Not right away, anyhow. Though the current iCloud services work just fine in Windows browsers, including Internet Explorer Unlike MobileMe's iDisk, iCloud's 5GB of free storage space apparently won't be accessible through, say, the Mac's Finder, but instead will contain documents saved, at least initially, only through Apple's iWork suite of Pages, Numbers and Keynote.

You can name it whatever you want Hope you enjoy the new super cool iDisk. Jan 13, AM in response to anne In response to anne Thank you for the suggestions.
